I use one of these „type HW-536“ USB power supply modules on my electronics workbench. The supply is tapped of from my lab power supply's unregulated secondary (*). Since I feared short circuits and other damage running it on the bench unprotected, I designed this little two-part enclosure in Solid Edge.
You can find it on my Printables account @VolkerMueller, including the SolidEdge files.
(* The module does NOT allow for up to 36 or 40 V supply voltage, as often claimed. The A5268 step-down controllers go into overvoltage protection at around 31 V, which is also stated in their datasheet. I had to use four diodes in series to drop the supply voltage sufficiently … the diodes fit in the enclosure as well 😎 Also, I would not trust this thing running the specified 2*15 W continuously. I tried it with 2*5 W, that was all right.)
